Today, we were joined by Jonathan Thomas, who taught some of our members and volunteers how to use his twin-probe resistance meter to conduct an electrical resistance geophysical survey of the KGV playing fields, while our other members continued to excavate. Today, AiM were continuing our excavation at KGV playing field, Wednesfield. It was the first day that had been advertised to the public, and despite competition from a Royal Wedding and a Football match, we had lots of interest in the site from members of the local community. We were also joined by local volunteers, and students from the University of Birmingham Archaeology Society.

AiM will be excavating at King George V Playing Field, Wednesfield, this weekend on Saturday 19th May and Sunday 20th May! Come and join us 11am-3pm each day! We'll be carrying out excavations in the field, and there'll even be opportunity for you to join in, so we'd love to see you there!
