We are a group of professional and amateur archaeologists. Our AiM is to strive for professional excavations and regular community dig events. We excavate and record sites of archaeological interest in Wolverhampton and the surrounding area.
Everybody is welcome to become a member of the group, whether you're a seasoned professional or a first-timer who would like to give archaeology a go!
Our AiMs:
- To provide an opportunity to bring people together who are genuinely interested in archaeology
- To encourage community participation in archaeology
Our Objectives:
- To work with local partners in our research of archaeological sites
- To ensure local archaeology is investigated and recorded appropriately
- To build on the previously recorded history of the local area
You can follow our excavations and progress via the diary on this website, or by following us on Facebook. We will provide regular updates on our current excavations, and where you can find us!
If you would like to try your hand at archaeology before you become a member, AiM welcomes you to attend one of our excavations, simply fill in a Visitor Form, which can be found here and join us for the day!
For additional information about our upcoming excavations, becoming a member, or you have any other questions, please feel free to send us a message on Facebook, or email us and we'd be happy to help! Alternatively, come along to one of our excavations and we'd love to talk to you.
